Hi all,

I need to get some cheap ektachrome to finish a project and I found this stock on ebay. I had a few doubts because of the polyester base. Is there a problem with projecting/telecine? Can I splice it with a cement splicer? Would any of you used it? Many thanks!

It is the old VND 160ASA daylight stock for VNF-1 process (early 1980'ies technology). Polyester can be spliced with tape or with ultrasonic splicers. Cement splices will not work.

How fresh will that stock be, who will process it?

I got some a year or two ago from Java photo, it was the last ones they had in their frezer.

The Polyester base VNF was often used in teh high speed cameras for Crash tests, which was the last commercial use for that product.
Elecusive film still says they can run it, although you should check with them.
