What is general method of placing lights while master & close-up Shots? Give the mathematic equations related Light placements too.

It can't be described in formulas and mathematics. For one scene, maybe I'll just light it with a really big backlight coming through a window and a white bounce card to catch it and reflect it back onto the face. I mean, there are hundreds of ways to light a wide shot and close-up. Depends on the room, the blocking of the actor, the placement of the light sources, the time of day, the mood one is trying to create, the story needs, etc.
