Hey I need a good microphone for my Canon Elura 65, but I have no idea what to buy. I'm looking for a good shotgun mic. that can be put on my camera without buying any other attatchments. I also don't have that much money to spend, so I'm looking for something under $200. The reason I need a good microphone for is because I am making a short film, so I guess that means it has to be stereo.
No.... Good Mic's are Usu MONO. Don't let the 3 pin connectors on the MIC confuse you, Those are "balanced" mono connectors.
With that being said, Click this link, i think it's identical to your question. ....
Also factor in
1. A boom pole
- and or -
2. A shock mount so as not to transfer sound from your cam/boom to the mic when mounted on either.
3. One of those fuzzy windscreen things.
