Is anyone else as astonished as I am that the new edition is black instead of that beige color?

Set Lighting Technician's Handbook!

Or am I just that much of a nerd?

No, since I've had my copy for years and it's black.

Drew, I think you're looking at the older edition. The most recent is beige.

Makes more sense that it's black...they still tried to have those spotlights on the cover of the beige version. Yeah, you can't even make out what they're supposed to be...it looks like 3 clear plastic stickers stuck to it.

My version is beige and I never really got the cover until I saw this black version. One of the best books I've ever purchased in my opinion.

If you guys are busy looking at the cover, you're missing where all the good stuff is! ;)

Maybe it's time to update my "sixth" edition American Cinematographer Manual...

I had the correction pointed out to me where I was mocked both for getting it wrong and, indeed, being a nerd. Oops...
