Anyone have a great color timer at Deluxe in LA? There is no DI, we'll be timing the old fashioned way. Please post here or e-mail me at: mail4jt@aol.com. I would like to hear about who to avoid too. Thanks

I like working with Randy Anderson - very good humored and has a good eye - he's also very determined to get it right, so he was willing to spend whatever time was needed to achieve what we were after.

Steve Sheridan, if he's still there (I think he is).

If a color timer is no good or even mediocre, he's probably not going to be employed by Deluxe in the first place.

It's all about the relationship and communication between the DoP and the grader/timer. Someone who works well with one DoP might not communicate well with another: you have to have the same eye for what the scene has to say.

Thanks for the two suggestions. Anyone else?
