Is anyone going to the b.s.c exhibition at elstree studios this friday or saturday ?

Nothing happens latest gear on show from likes of Panavision , Arri , lighting people and meet other DPs for a chat , i was invited dont know how they decide . If you go to B.S.C web site should be able to put your name down , see you there ? .

I wouldn't mind going, but only if someone from here wants to meet up.

I went to the Video forum at Earls court on my own once and boy did it suck... none of my friends are into that sort of stuff.

I'll be going on Saturday - it's more or less open invite, if anyone is curious. See bscine.com for more info. AFAIK, nothing really major tends to debut there, but it is the largest gathering of equipment companies for the motion picture industry in the UK. As such it also is a good socialization opportunity. Space-wise, it's nothing too massive, just a single average-sized stage at Elstree.

Its on stage 1 the Lucas stage which is pretty large for this country .

No, you're right - haven't remembered well enough, I guess! That being said, the size is nothing like a convention hall would be, IIRC. In other words, don't go expecting anything on the order of NAB.
