Hi there,

recently I did a spot for mtvexit.com and we were shooting on 16. When I saw the telecined material, some of the shots were jerky, like if I was knocking on the locked pan handle during the shoot. Unfortunately, we didn't add the camera mag no. to the slate, so I can not tell whether this artefact only appears on material from just one mag. Worst thing that I wasn't attending telecine transfer myself and couldn't see if the perforation on the film was damaged. Guys from the rental told me that camera was running perfectly before and after my shoot, so I really have no clue where to dig to find the answer.

You may not have had the camera mag number on the slate, but did you have a roll number?

If so, a properly filled out camera report for that roll should indicate the mag number. I have never experienced this problem with the SRs, but apparently I have been lucky.
