I just read a very interesting comment about a comment made by James Cameron that there will be No Optics and No Film or HD involved in the shooting process he's going to use for Avatar.

Anyone care to make an educated guess on what he could be doing?

Some combination of Computers/CGI/Motion Capture/Image Scanning/Still cameras a la Matrix?

He's using hand puppets behind a back lit screen.

I hear he does an awesome swann in flight.

Hi,

James Cameron declares "never shoot on film again" - Maybe he should stick to swans.
