Has anyone made a comparison of tapes to use in HD DV? Can you tell the difference visually and technically between the basic DV tape and an HD DV tape? I thought the HD tapes were made denser to help with drops but does that actually help visually, like with clarity and color? I know that less drops means better picture but I guess I'm talking about definition of the image.

Thanks

Definition is defined by the fomrat, not the tape so the answer is no.
