Arri introduced 2 new Zeiss Master Primes at the NAB: a 14mm and a 150mm. I don't know how they do it, but both lenses are still T1.3, like the rest of the set. I'd be curious if the 14mm finally exhibits some distortion, as the other lenses do not really. The cost for each lens should be around the price of a full set of (5) Red primes. Obviously you get what you pay for ;)

I for one am dying to see a 150mm perform at T1.3.

I think that this is only the beginning and we are going to see a 12mm and even 10mm lens soon. All at t1.3. It is only a matter of time before they release a 180mm.

Designing these lenses is clearly possible, but both wide-angle and telephoto lenses are harder to design and include more glass elements, so T1.3 speed will require them to be quite big.

Is the 150 mm lens still coming in at the same length and diameter as the rest of the series?

It's a little bigger.

It's almost hard to believe that both of these lenses will be available at that speed, especially the 14, from Zeiss on top of that.

Isn't Zeiss a reputable enough optics maker for you? They've only been at it for 160 years.
