all you PD170 camera users i needed some info

Im a mountain filmmaker and in regards to a filming project in the Trans-Himalayan region of Indian subcontinent - Ladakh , where i will be using SONY DSR PD170 as my main camera.

I wanted information on the battery performance of this camera at high altitudes ,low pressure and extreme climate. ( minus 10 deg celcius).

For this project we will be taking PD170 at an height of 21,000 ft approx and the weather can be as cold as minus 10 to 15 deg cel.

Please suggest us for the following :
1: Better performance battery at high altitude and cold weather.
2: Any special accessories for camera protection against the cold
weather, and moisture formation on the lense.
3: Will the extreme condition have any effect on the camera mechanism
? is the PD170 made for extreme travel conditions ?
4: What will be the performance level of a DVCAM tape or do you
recommend any other tape

please do help me with these queries, it would be really nice.

I answered your other topic in "first time filmmakers." In the future, please don't post one topic in two different places.
