Hey,
Doing my first S35 3 perf on an Arricam LT in 2 weeks!!!!, got a great deal from Arri on the gear. Does anyone have anything I should watch out for on this camera? Tips, tricks? Im using the UP sets and an Optimo 24-290mm.
Cheers Glenn.

It's a great camera, good with handheld and sits well on the steadicam. Not as quiet as an ST, but there are many features who onlt use LTs.

I heard when they made the LT they had to make it noiser than the ST otherwise no-one would use the ST. The LT is so versatile!

Heres a sneak peek at our rough set design.

According to a friend of mine who was working on a feature where they used one of the first ever LTs, at some point they had to send the camera back to Munich for some adjustments and when they got it back it was indeed noisier.

The LT is a great camera in just about any situation (certainly my current favorite), but in studio mode is is very nice to be able to put the mag on the top - it gives the operator much more freedom of movement behind the camera.

Really, though, that is the only advantage I've found that the ST has over the LT. I've not noticed much difference in noise level between the two on set (24 vs 20 dB according to Wikipedia, I'm not sure my ears are finely calibrated enough to be able to tell the difference).
