Hi,

I'm trying to decide whether to light with Dinos (multiple PAR globe sources) or with conventional Tungsten Fresnels. We are hazing the set, so we will see the beam patterns. How's the beam pattern of Dino, can you see multiple beams or just a single big one?

Thanks.

It's pretty much a single beam effect though you may see a fringey multiple-shadow pattern on the floor or wall. You can see a lot of this effect in "The Last Emperor".

The farther you can back up the Dino, the more the PAR's blend into one, and the less the beam spreads through the window. Too close and it spreads out more to the sides than something like a 20K would.

Thanks, I can back it up roughly 35 feet from the window. Have to check out the Last Emperor.
