Is it good to shoot from an lcd tv...instead of transferring into film.......

for eg..if i need to transfer one animation to film...i shud to reverse telecine...nd itss very costly also....
is it'll be okey to shoot that animation from an lcd tv ....i know that it'll never get a quality of direct film transferrin...then also how far is it good....if it is good up to an extend....i can save my renderin time nd money..
