I was wondering how much a cheap camera and some 8mm film cost, about a 30 minute movie?

Super or regular 8, colour, B&W One copy or several, You finishing on Video or Film???
50ft of 8MM runs 2 and a few minutes. 400 ft is about 20. (the Kodak site has a run time calculator.)

You're right, I wasn't very descriptive. We want to go for color, but it depends on pricing. If we could get sound(I don't think we will...) we would like that. We plan to finish onto DVD or MiniDV.

50ft cartriges are about $14 for black and white, $20 for color. Processing is about the same.

?Film Chain? transfer to miniDV is around $150 per hour. That?s facility use time - not running time. Rank Cintel is around $3.00 per minute of run time.
