UK Low-Budget HDCAM Feature seeks 1st AC, 2nd AC
Posted 01 July 2007 - 05:51 AM
I'm shooting an low-budget feature in London for the next 8 weeks on a HDW750 with a cine style HJ21 with Arri follow focus and O'Connor head. My crewing is very patchy so I was wondering if anyone might be interested in helping me out for a few days here and there. Unfortunately, we are unable to pay wages I am afraid as the producer/director is financing all this out of his own pocket and he's run out. It would however be a great chance to work on a film and to meet new people. And I would really appreciate the help!
I am looking for;
- 1st Assistant Camera
- 2nd Assistant Camera
if you're interested, please contact me on firstname.lastname@example.org or 07808 336955

Eight fu**ing weeks?
Are you out of your tiny mind?
I would encourage you to note that as of right now I am not shooting a production I would very much like to shoot, because I refuse to do so until I can pay more than minimum wage to the crew. And I'm embarrassed to ask people to give me eight days.
We are not all film school students running off someone else's free money. Some of us have to make a living. The only comfort I can draw from this is to imagine the look on your face when you finally realise this.
Eight weeks. Jesus.

I really was considering being 1st or 2nd AC for a few days. Sadly 300 miles was a bit of a stretch without a car.

I think the travel would run at about £7 a day.
