Where can I walk in and buy a few rolls of 7217 in Super 8? I am flying in from Boston and don't want to take the risk of an X-Ray machine frying my raw stock, so I'll buy local. I am looking for stock only. Does Kodak have a retail office in town?

1) ask Kodak Canda to ship to your hotel?

2) check with one of the labs like niagra custom lab to see if they will order it in for you to pick up? This should a service that the lab you are going to process it might be willing to take on. (I assume that you will want to process the film in Toronto for the same reason.)

Niagra is a small lab and they are aiming to deal with independent/experimental etc filmmakers. They are the only ones I can find who will still make a "workprint" which is vital to me as I am making my films for fun, and the workprint stage is probaly as far as most of my footage will get.

I find there staff to be VERY helpful, and knowlegable. the service time does vary a bit. I suspect that they would be quite happy to run your film for you at their posted rates so you could take developed negative back home without fear of any X-ray.
