All in all a smart, enjoyable movie. Cinematography lighting were unintrusive but quite competent, casting and story were excellent. Several times I had the "I remember that!" experience. But the kids at my cineplex apparently don't know how to focus a projector; too many closeups were just a little too soft.

I still laugh when I think of Seth Rogen and Paul Rudd's characters taking mushrooms and going to see Cirque du Soleil. I really identified with this film in a weird way, I've never had children, that I know of, but I think it's that feeling of life slapping you in the face and having to face reality and take responsibility that struck a chord with me. The supporting cast was great, plenty of people from Freaks and Geeks and Harold Ramis as the father was fantastic.

n 1 I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry Universal Pictures $34,233,750
1 2 Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix Warner Bros. Pictures $207,866,865
n 3 Hairspray New Line Cinema $27,476,745
2 4 Transformers DreamWorks SKG $262,978,000
3 5 Ratatouille Buena Vista Pictures $165,519,955
4 6 Live Free or Die Hard Twentieth Century-Fox Film Corporation $116,267,866
5 7 License to Wed Warner Bros. Pictures $38,495,133
6 8 1408 Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM) $67,453,524
7 9 Evan Almighty Universal Pictures $93,567,015
8 10 Knocked Up Universal Pictures $142,698,885
9 11 Sicko Lionsgate $19,185,853
10 12 Ocean's Thirteen Warner Bros. Pictures $114,533,366

Still in the top ten after 8 weeks in release, not bad for a relatively modest $33 million picture. And grossing almost five times its budget. A good picture about real people can still hit a home run!
