I am curious if anyone has ever undergone the motivation of a brushfire lighting scene? If so, how did you go about it, especially if anyone is interested in offering techniques and ideas! I'd be much appreciative for whom ever would offer any feed back!

I have the layout in my head, but do you think it is sufficient lighting to burn onto 16mm film format, or do you recommend a few lights on the sides to light up the flickering glow effect of a band playing with a brushfire chaotically flaring within the background and foreground of a few shots.

Thanks in advance!

Check out what Roger Deakins does, and see if it helps you out at all: http://www.rogerdeak...wtopic.php?t=26

If you're shooting 500 ASA film stock with a fast lens, it shouldn't be too tough to get the exposure you're going for. Besides, people illuminated by fire at night usually look best at about 1 stop underexposed anyway :)
