I recently acquired a Minitron MTV-33K9HN color CCD camera with an adapter that was purportedly designed to fit the 10x viewfinder on a Bolex H16 SBM camera. I'm hoping to fit the tap to the viewfinder of a Bolex H8 RX-4 DS8 camera, since I believe the 10x viewfinders on the H8 RX and H16 RX/SBM cameras are physically the same (with a 0.887" diameter inside tube). Although the adapter supplied with the camera fits this inside tube nicely, the setscrews intended to hold it in place can't get a purchase because the 'rings' meant to hold the rubber eyecup in place prevent the adapter from being slid on to the tube far enough.

Does anyone have any experience with these things? Do the eyecup retaining 'rings' need to be machined off the viewfinder tube? Have I got the incorrect adapter?
