In 1975 i was in art school in Clerkenwell in London, next to the college was a really old church, i walked past it
every day with out really looking at it. One morning we noticed all these people, lights, security, cluttering the pavement outside, during lunch I and a couple of friends tried to get a peak at what was going on, we were of course
stopped at the door but who should come up behind us coming back after a lunch time drink! Ken Russell!
Without hesitation he invited us in gave us somewhere to watch (they were shooting the wedding scene from lisztomania) he was an absolute gem, kind and friendly I'll never forget him for that. I finished art school but became a
cameraman after what i saw that afternoon! I would shoot his dvcam footage of Hitlers cat in a breath if he would have me! but I'm already working.

My loss!

Kieran.

Thats a really sweet and inspiring story. But should you still work for a man that has now been on Big Brother!

Thanks for that Keiran. :)

Who else agrees that a Russell and Phil Rhodes team up would be the best thing to happen to the UK film biz this decade?

I would shoot his dvcam footage of Hitlers cat ....

Um, he had a dog, not a cat. A German shepard named Blondi. One of the assassination plots was to shoot him when he was walking the dog.
