fog in a forest

Any thoughts on lighting forest for early morning fog. Expansive wide shot then close cuts to spokesperson. Shooting in HD for broadcast. Most likely on Sony F-900/3. I especially don't want it to look like it's smoke from a forest fire.

Look at some of the Asian medieval soap operas - they always backlight those moody outdoor scenes with giant arclights. No matter where the talent is positioned, they've always got that backlight!
