On one of the projects im about to start working on im thinking it would be interesting to shoot uncorrected tungsten stock outdoors and light the foreground with warmer gelled Tungsten units, mixing the daylight and tungsten temperatures - most of the short takes place as the sun is begining to set. Im sure this has been done before but i cant think of any examples to show to the director - can anyone think of any? I thought someone mentioned it on the forum before but nothings come up on the search. Any thoughts?

If you're shooting during so-called "magic hour", you might want to watch Days of Heaven. I'm not really sure if that fits your question though.

No its not a magic hour shoot unfortunately. I need my background images to be cold while i light teh foreground with warmer tones.
