Hey guys, real quick question!

If the ground glass is "Accd centering with TV/185 markings" what does that mean exactly?

I'm assuming "Accd" means academy centered? As opposed to full frame? And then "TV/185" seems obvious enough, but I'm curious if there's a difference between tv and 1.33 ground glass?

Thanks for your help!

Yes, it probably means "Academy".

4x3 TV and Academy are rather similar, but TV is 1.33 and Academy is 1.37, plus TV usually means "TV Safe / Title Safe" and gives you are 10% space on all sides of the transmitted 4x3 area to account for overscan, so it's a smaller 4x3 rectangle than Academy. 1.85 and Academy share the same width but "TV Safe" is less wide than both.

Also, "TV Safe / Title Safe" doesn't mean that what's outside the lines are not in TV, it means what's inside the lines will be visible on most TV's even after overscan.
