I can't help you with that but I read a book a while ago about the making of "Citizen
Kane" that if I remember correctly was written by Paulie Kael. That was about all
aspects of the film but it might have something of interest for you.

Also, I learned on this forum that the 70s film "Paper Moon" which is in black and white
was shot at all f16 so that might be something to view too.

Perhaps your local library has the book "Focus on Citizen Kane" by Ronald Gottesmann, which is said to have the article in full.

Actually, I'll probably be going to the library tomorrow and can photocopy the article and have it for you and anyone else who would like it :)
