I still don't understand what necessitates this. Why can't the scene just have glasses and prop drinks and go on in the usual way...?

oh its gotta be a joke. leave it to the brits to make fun of our time honored tradition of green screen. This country would not run without green screen, and I am frankly appalled that the brits would lampoon our culture of green screening and 'fix it in post' mentality. Did nobody see wag the dog? shameful. This is why we had the revolutionary war, to protect our right to free green screening.
