Hi, i just aquired an RT1, but something is wrong with the battery compartment i guess... Only thing that works in the camera is the power zoom.
I tried measuring voltages at the battery pack pins and i do get some strange readings.
Can somebody with an RT1 (i think the Special has a different battery holder) measure various voltages at the 4 pins so i can check what's wrong with mine ?
Here's a pic of my holder, would be glad if you used the same numbering:

Another strange thing is that i have a wire soldered to the + of the central battery contact , but with my ohmeter this wire leads to nowhere...

... managed to get things going.
As suspected the red wire was interrupted. Managed to solder a new wire and now iris works (bloody noisy ) and motor runs. Battery indicator works too. Only speed zoom is not working but i don't care...

As it may be usefull for someone else, here's the diagram of battery holder for the RT1. Not sure it's the same for Special.
