Hi
I´m about to do a shot were it´s only the 24 inch monitor that will be in frame.
The image off the monitor will be soundwaves (using Logic or Pro Tools, Peak etc).
Red soundwaves on black background.

I would like to double check a few things with you guys as I haven´t shot on 35mm for over a year now
I´m I right in assuming there is no problem with scan rates as it is with CRT monitors on a LCD?
I´m planning to use my spot meter on the red soundwave to get correct exposure,I assume this is the way to do it?
Anything else to take into consideration you think?

There shouldn't be any flicker problems with a modern LCD monitor. However, a plasma monitor has a Hertz pulse running through it that requires syncing the camera to.

I shot a plasma a while back, I didn't have any problems with flicker or syncing. The camera I used did have a 144 degree shutter though.
