My beloved little Gossen Lunasix Lightmeter passed away during the work in Albania and I am looking for a new one. I am considering buying either the Sekonic 308 or 358 (they are both within my price-range?) Does somebody know or did even use them? And probably has an advice wich one to choose? They both are showing the shutter speed of cine-cameras. I will just use it for cine-Kameras, so special flashlight-metering-features are not necessary?

Thanks for your help in advance!

Best regards,

Ole

I have used the Sekonic 358 extensively. I like having the ability to turn the dome away from me while taking readings and also find the retractable dome to be somewhat useful. I believe it also has some other advantages but I havn't compared them lately.

I purchased a Spectra Cine Pro IV meter about 3 years ago and have been very happy with it. A little less money than the nice Sekonic meters but it has every function that I could need.
