I've had a look through recommended books and went through a few threads about books to read on cinematography but can't really find the answer that I need. Can anyone recommend a book worth reading which gives an interesting insight into the work of a cinematographer. Perhaps it's a book about some important DOPs career, perhaps it's someone's thoughts about the approach to their work... I'm NOT looking for anything technical, nor any manual for beginners, nor a dry book on how things should be done but rather something inspirational. Any suggestions??
Thank you in advance.

The interviews in "Masters of Light" are inspirational too.
