Hello Gang,

I am converting a Giannini Scientific 35mm camera into a film recorder head. It has normal Eyemo works and 1.5 inch barrel lens mount. I'm wondering what, in your experience, is a good or best lens in the 50mm-75mm range with this mount. Naturally, I'd like high quality optics. A reputation for sharpness is sought after. I'm aware that Eyemos probably never had the finest lenses made for it. I'd like to find out what the best available are.

Thanks,
Paul

The General Scientific Miltars were, I think, the last set of lenses built specifically for the Eyemo.
They did have to meet military specs, they ought to be decent lenses depending on their physical conition.

Baltars were also availiable in Eyemo mounts. They were the Hollywood standard until reflex cameras became all the rage.
