The joys of a little free time to wander the internet.....

I found this audio-only interview with Emmanuel Lubezki, ASC, AMC; you have to turn up the volume and it's a little rough to listen to because the interview is very informal and it's in the middle of a restaurant (it's unedited, so you're also listening to Lubezki and the interviewer order dinner and such).

It's also long. =)

Interesting and informative, but the interviewer is ill prepared and it's full of missed opportunities. For instance, Chivo segues by himself into 65mm and shooting for Malick, but the interviewer fails to follow up on any of it and it all dies out. Same goes for Ali, working with Tim Burton and most other threads. Too bad.

Jayson, thanks for the link. Actually, the restaurant sounds made me feel like I was at the table with them.

Awesome link Jayson. I enjoyed it a lot. The guy interviewing was a little annoying at times, but it wouldn't have felt so candid without him.
