I just got my hands on an XL2 and am diving into my first major project...a documentary about Northern Patagonia. I have little camera operating experience other than my Sony Handicam...most of my experience is in post. So here is my dumb question: I have a mic that connects into the XLR terminals - what settings should I use to get the best, most crisp sounding interviews? The manual's explanations about 12 bit and 16 bit and the different channels are not very helpful. Any advice will be much appreciated!
