Oscillating ground glass - Letus35

So, let me make sure I understand, the only thing the electronics do in the adapter is to oscillate the ground glass so we don't see the glass because that's where the camera's focus is set? Am I getting that right?

Sorry if that sounds obvious and I sound like an idiot...but I'm sitting there playing with it and playing with it and wondering...what the heck is this power button for...THEN I decide to look at something white.

Yup, AFAIK. The idea is to blur the grain of the ground glass without bluring the actual image.
