I just bought the new Indifocus follow focus unit and I tried it and it feels a bit wobbly and not smooth at all. Is that normal? I have only used follow focus for 16mm and 35mm cameras.
I hope I don't have to send it back to the US. I'm in London. I was going to use it for my up coming film. Any help greatly appreciated. Maybe I´m doing something wrong. Fingers crossed.
Cheers,
Ívan

Well, in a word: No. There should be no wobble. Can you specify the exact problem? For instance, is the gear wheel not matching the teeth on the lens? Does the dial wobble in the housing?

I would get in touch with the company ASAP. Hopefully this is a one-time problem, and not a manufacturing issue?

By the way, what is the unit constructed of? Plastic, Metal? Chris Keth just posted a link to this company in the AC forum (I had never heard of them previously), and the very next post I see is this one. Damn?

You get what you pay for I guess :/

You can see in the product shots that the follow focus is so cheaply made. A follow focus has to really have a solid construction to work properly.

I do not recommend Indifocus follow focus. I got a newone and it was even wors, all bent and wobbly. Stay away from those guys. Even if it's cheap and caterd for the "lowbudget" filmaker. It's so not worth it and the customer service sucks.
