Hi!

My prime lenses take Series 9 filters. However, for diopters, I only have filters in 4-1/2 size.

Is there any drawnack in using them (with a step-up ring) on my prime lenses? They are MUCH larger then the lenses, so I'll be using only the center of the filter. Is that a problem?

The same question for split diopters.

I'm going to run some tests, of course, but thought of asking anyway - especially since I cannot test the Series 9 equivalents, which match the size of the lenses perfectly.

Thanks!
