Hi Max,

Your in the fine company company of Richard & Phil!

John if you view a profile you can vote on the stars. I am on a slow connection so can't check it's working.

Fear not- it obviously isn't based on punctuation. ;)

Click on the name of the user you wish to rate (names on posts or from the "Who's Online" section on the main page), click VIEW MEMBER PROFILE. When the profile has loaded you will see the current rating for the user you have chosen, and if you move your cursor over the stars you will see that it allows you to give them your own rating. Click on the star number you wish to select.

I don't care for the function myself, as it is a bit playground level "cliquey" for a forum otherwise professional in tone. Plus, how representative is a system that welcomes and includes the vote of any newly signed up, anonymous spammer? Even as far as it's one practical use goes, you don't need a ratings system to identify the village idiots.

Ooooo look at me I'm Stephen Williams, Mr. Five Star :D

I'm surprised I have three stars  I thought maybe I'd have negative three stars.

:) Just teasing, John.

I actually find your abbreviated writing style quite infectious. You manage to tread the fine line of keeping punctuation minimal without creating nonsense, which is quite an artform. Text messages have certainly become cheaper since reading your posts. ;)

Oh absolutely. Like I said, I am only teasing. It goes without saying that your posts are always informative and interesting (and I like the characteristic writing style). It would be great if we could see some of your work posted though. :)

While I've got your attention John, I wanted to ask you if you know anything about the little seen movie David Watkin shot called GUNBUS (or SKY BANDITS depending on where it was released). It was directed by Zoran Perisic (of the Zoptic front projection system/SUPERMAN fame) and made during Watkin's Oscar win in 1985/6.
