Canon 814 AZ - trigger doesn't work - Please Help!

Hi Folks,

New to the forum but not new to Super & Reg 8mm.

Picked up a nice Canon 814 recently and it all works fine EXCEPT the trigger (no motor movement).

The exposure meter is fine, the zoom is fine but no movement elsewhere.

Can anyone suggest a solution? I've already tried using a remote but it does not work either. The auto exposure meter is obviously working when the trigger is half-depressed??

Hi , check battery contacts use fine sand paper to clean, remove cover, with batteries inserted
place a 3volt mini lamp on the expose bateries and push the trigger if lamp goes a little bright
motor is jam ,if no light sow on lamp is probably a false contact inside and camera has to be opened.

Usualy Canon micromotors are very reliable and rarely fail.
