I'm going replace the inner tube on my Matthews Doorway Dolly. Does anyone know if the three bolts in the wheel spokes actually split the wheel (or are they just there to make it look go faster), so you can remove the tyre or do I need to get the tyre levers out?

Thanks.

I believe there isnt a tube in that wheel. The tire is tubeless. Those three bolts actually hold the rim together and the air inside. I could be wrong but...

The orginal setup looks tubeless, but I've got a tube from the UK Matthews agent that has a Matthews Part No .. Although a direct e-mail from Matthew only mentioned a tyre at around $90. However, I suspect it's the air valve that might be causing the problem rather than the tyre.

This from "an anonymous source" at Matthews:

"Yes they have tubes and NO you do not have to take out the bolts to split the rim in order to replace the tube"

Might just be the Schr├Ąder valve leaking. As I recall, we replaced a tube in a DWD tire several years. We also replaced a wheel completely, but that was for some other reason. You can get the replacement tube at any decent hardware / DIY / automotive shop, although they may have to order it (2-3 days delay).
