Hi there,

Got a bit of an emergency here, and would greatly appreciate some help.

I reset the lap dissolve button on my Canon 1014 XL-S but forgot to turn the switch back to the upright position and carried on shooting with the white line turned to the dot at 3 o'clock (see pic below) Does anyone know what shutter angle the dot equates to? And if the footage I shot will come out?

Many thanks,

Nick

As the white dot position is just an electric-contact based electronically-controlled cancellation for the lap disolve function, it is unrelated to the position of the variable shutter and its opening angle. Hence, the variable shutter opening angle remains at the 150° provided at the "Sun"-symbol XL position.
