hi

i plan to shot music video were i plan to use color gel on the key light on the singer then WB for the key to change background color

me did taste today to see which color gel to use and we like

101 yellow- for blue

165 daylight blue- for orange yellow

109 light solomon 3 layers- for green

do you think it's better to gel the light and leave the CC to post

because of that we don't want to use dv

we plan to shot with ex-1 on HQ which is full hd but 4:2:0 in color spec

but has 1/2 inch cmos and by far better pic then the hvx and is more sensitive to low light

but the hvx has 4:2:2 color spec at full hd so it will be more easy to CC

what you think?

You're really best of doing a test with your post house. If you're in LA we can help you.

If there's no way you can do a proper test, but you've had hands-on with both cameras, I would say trust your eyes for what you like and forget the specs, because they can be meaningless a lot of times.
