When to white balance

Hi, a bit of a novice question this one, but I am considering using a black promist filter on a forthcoming shoot and not having used one before, was wondering if I should white balance the camera before or after applying it ?

A black pro-mist shouldn't affect colour temperature Tony, it will affect your exposure though check the Tiffen filter factor tables
