I have a 500GB drive from LaCie that I bought a couple of years ago to hold footage. So far it's worked fine for me.

Ive heard that Lacies can be quite temperamental beasts, how much roughly is an hour of digi beta uncompressed - somewhere in the region of 13gigs?
