Anyone know where the negative that was stored at WRS Pittsburgh ended up?

I shot something in 2000 that I stored there, I would love to track down the negative.

Any info, even leads that I can chase up, would be appreciated.

thanks,

Hey Charlie,

Leo Anthony Vale used to work there. I've got a few phone numbers for Jack Napor on my cell phone. They're two years old. I couldn't tell you if they're still active. I think I saw something on Ebay from him not long ago. I think he's still out there trying to turn his equipment into money. PM me if you want the numbers.

Thanks for those Napor numbers; none worked, though.

Anybody have any contact info for Mr. Vale?

The negative from WRS must've ended up somewhere? Possibly it was destroyed, but that seems unlikely.

Anybody know who took over the WRS building?

thanks,

Another company made up of ex-WRS employees set up shop in a corner of the massive building WRS was in. They rented some of the gear from Jack. I recall Leo saying they didn't make it, though. He'd likely be the guy to ask for current info. Jack is selling some gear on Ebay at the mo.

Maybe he'll answer an Ebay Q.

I believe that was Summit film lab, I think the bank took the building and/or threw them out, unfortunately ceasing the operation.

Yes. I'm not sure it was actually Jack's bank that kicked out Summit, rather it was a real estate company that acquired the building, which was originally a meat packing plant.

I have no idea how to get hold of Jack Napor.

Here's an old Post-Gazette article about Summit.:

Perhaps Joyce Gannon at the Post Gazette knows how to get hold of Jack.

The only other thing I can think of is to contact Pittsburgh Filmmakers.

Try Gary Kaboly or Brady Lewis. They might know something.
Filmmakers members had a lot of stuff there.

Charlie Humphries got there after I had nothing to do with them, So I have no idea if he knows anything.

They are not new WRS boxes which have the distinctive purple logo.

They seem to mostly be 16mm mag track boxes.

EMail Brady and/or Kaboly at Pittsburgh Filmmakers.
