Hey all;
I might be shooting with the Arri BL3. Problem is, I've never loaded one! I have the ASC Manual and I see the threating diagram there; looks similar (coaxial) to the SR3? Main question is hoq large of a loop am I going to make once I load the payout side?

Any help would be a god send. I've been googling all morning for a manual and checked through here with massive searches, but I can't find anything on the BL3 aside from whats in the ASC Manual

It is like an overgrown SR in that there is notch you pull the film to once it exits the feed side. Like the SR, once you pull the film to the notch you hold the loop steady and insert it back into the mag on the take up side. Easy mag.

Thank you Alex. That's what I assumed looked at the pictures. From there it's through the dohickies on the take up side, and onto the core?

I'd recommend giving yourself one, or possibly two extra perfs past the notch on the mag. The ideal loop on a BL-3 will oscillate both above and below the loop marker in the camera.
