I'm putting together a budget for a 20-page short. I'd like to include the option to shoot on 35 and do a DI. I've read about several people's experiences with various DI facilities. Can anyone confidently recommend a facility in which you were at least somewhat satisfied?

Thanks.

I am really lucky to have found a great shop for DI. After some bad experiences with my first DI sessions (I normally shoot film), I was so happy to find these guys. Here's the info: Tyler Hawes, DI Colorist - Lit color | vfx | finish (aka ³Liquid DI²) 7813 W. Sunset Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90046 t: 323.874.4487 f: 888.769.1786
Tyler has been my colorist for 3 years. He colored my films, "Hatchet (35mm Fuji 3 perf)" "Spiral (35mm Kodak 4 perf)" "Just the Worst (HD)". They're affordable, and the work is OUTSTANDING. Like I said, I've seen the worst... and Tyler Hawes makes you look really good.

Thanks, Will. Yes, shortly after I posted yesterday I thought to call Tyler and we spoke at length. We had a great conversation and I will definitely be following up with him.
