Well.

Actually if you want to critique my work you'll have to go and see it for yourself.

Lake Mungo has been selected and will be premiering at Sydney International Film Festival on June 18th. Lake Mungo is also my debut feature film as a cinematographer and will be having it's premiere screening on Wednesday the 18th of June.

Lake Mungo is the debut feature film of Writer / Director Joel Anderson. It tells the disturbing tale of the unexpected death of 15 year old Alice Palmer while swimming at the local weir with her family. Lake Mungo explores the chilling 12 months of paranormal activity that followed her death, that turned the lives of those she left behind into a waking nightmare. It's a disquieting study of grief and a disturbing tale of the uncanny.

If you are interested in seeing and supporting the film then check the link below.

Anyone who turns up and gives the secret handshake will get a shout at the bar.

Hope to see you there !

I would love to see it. But I can't quite make it to Sydney anytime soon. Will it come out on video or will it be available to view online for us US-centrics? Good luck at the festival.

I love Aussie films, though.

Hey John,

Congratulations - I saw it had been selected on the SFF website and thought it sounded familiar but couldn't figure out why. Must have seen it mentioned on your website at some stage.

I'd love to be at the screening and *almost* could have made it. I'll be in Sydney for the ACS 50th Conference from May 27th and am staying afterwards for a while, but will be back in Adelaide by the 18th.

I'll keep an eye out for it though... hopefully it will make it here eventually.

And if you, or anyone else will be at the ACS conference - http://www.acs50.com/ - it would be great to catch up!

Kirsty.

P.S. What's the secret handshake?

Ah, seriously? That's no good, although I suspect that anyone who decides not to go to the conference will have a lot of opportunities for work over those 4 days!

Let me know if you're going to make it to the dinner and I'll come and say hi.
