This is probably a dumb question, but here goes:

Could anyone tell me how to calculate the horizontal field of view for a PDX10 (1/4.7" sensor) in 16:9 mode at F=3.6mm?

I've found quite a few field of view calculators online, but I can't figure out how to use it for this size image sensor. I think it's somewhere in the order of 40 degrees.

Thanks

you need the lens 50mm, 25mm, etc, information as well as what is the separation between the ccd and the iris. look for cinecalc.xls at PV in australia there is a page where you can fiddle with aperture and projections.

Okay, thanks. I'll have a look for it.
