The Bolex Pro has sound-sync options as it is quieter - but the EBM can be stripped down of all its accessories and fit into some small spaces if need be, the EBM can also fit all the really nice Macro-Switar preset lenses - hello music videos ...

What are you using it for ?

but EBM also can SYNC

but the ebm needs an additional sync lock I believe, I think Tobin Systems use to make them, and they are pretty scarce now. the ebm is far too loud for sound work even if you did find a crystal motor. i found this out working in a small space the other weekend.

if you are going to pay quite alot for bolex pro anyway, why not look to something like an Arriflex BL or something like that, I get the sense that with the bolex pro it was a "concept," model that they didnt follow up on,

thanks

The Tobin sync units that work with the EBM have been released again in a dashing black case now (no more grey), search for them on ebay...
