Saw an interview last night on nightline. Said he didn't do it for long, right your own punchlines.

I read somewhere that he was a carpenter when they discovered him. Talk about a non-sequitur early career . . .

He was married with 2 kids by the time he became Han Solo, guess he had to do SOMETHING between bit TV parts to make ends meet.

I know a guy who's a contractor between 2nd AC gigs. He makes so much from contracting that he has to turn down a lot of AC jobs.

Good contractors make serious bank. I know one that specialize in green luxury building that drives a Bentley (powered by natural gas).

He taught himself carpentry. He just hung around the library and rented books about it and then bullshitted his way through all his early work, ha ha. I read this Playboy interview with him from a couple years ago and it was awesome. He seems like a helluva guy.

I know somebody that just worked with him on something and said he sure likes his Scotch. A lot.

A REAL lot.

And not just that, I can tell you!

Nevertheless, he isn't drinking (and not alot smoking ;) ) on set, unlike some DoPs do ...

Good to hear that carpentry is still the better career for filmpeople. :D
